YellowDog’s Three Core Values are Curiosity, Creativity, and Community – and WOW, what an active and fun-loving community we have! Our clients, neighbors, clients who are also neighbors, and our wonderful city at-large have a lot going on this summer, and YellowDog is proud to lend a helping paw to some of their exciting upcoming local events.
In chronological order, we’re highlighting just a few of our favorite events that have our tails wagging with excitement.
Wonderbound’s “Oh Me, Oh My!”
April 20 – May 8
If contemporary ballet isn’t the type of performance that’s currently on your radar, we’re here to tell you that it should be! Wonderbound is an exciting, collaborative and boundary-breaking non-profit dance company, and their newest show, “Oh Me, Oh My!” is sure to impress. Their Season Finale – full of mystery, intrigue, and, of course, fun – has been sold out for a while now.
YellowDog’s PawPrint on this event: We have been the proud print sponsor of Wonderbound for years, offering them our ongoing 15% discount for nonprofits, and are always delighted to see their newest show program, stationery, or mailers come through the shop!

Swallow Hill’s One Epic Night
April 23
As the country’s second largest acoustic music school, Swallow Hill Music has been enriching Denver’s neighborhoods for over 40 years, offering music classes, community outreach, and live performances in a variety of musical genres. One Epic Night is their annual fundraiser, held this year on April 23rd, and truly lives up to its name with three stages, 12 local bands, food, drinks and lots of dancing. Ticket proceeds go towards their Community Outreach fund, providing educational and therapeutic music experiences to Denver’s under-resourced communities. If you’re unable to attend you can participate in their auction from the comfort of home.
YellowDog’s PawPrint on this event: We try not to play favorites, but Swallow Hill is, admittedly, one of our best and most long-standing clients. We’ve worked with them to create and design a number of exciting projects, from brochures, signage, and mailers to website design and marketing services. We can assure you that their annual fundraiser is true to its name, and will in fact be – One. Epic. Night.

TEDxMileHigh
April 30
Take a break from daydreaming about summer and bring your imagination, instead, to the TEDxMileHigh “Ascend” event, April 30th at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts. With a lineup of fascinating and inspiring speakers that include an Archaeologist, Ethnomusicologist, Indigenous Feminist Scholar, Educational Equity Advocate, Religious Trauma Expert, Writer/Rock Climber, and an engaging Emcee who describes herself as a “breaker of chains”, you’re sure to leave this event with a lot more to think about than a lazy day at the beach. Interactive exhibits add to the experience, and if you are energized to get involved as well, visit the website for volunteer opportunities.
YellowDog’s PawPrint on this event: We’ve had the pleasure of being involved with local TEDx events for over six years! While you’re at Ascend this year, look for our work when you pick up your name badge, peruse the attendee guides and table tents, or read those signs that help you find the next cool exhibit.

Furry Scurry
May 7
It’s no secret that here at YellowDog we LOVE our dogs, so we are enthusiastically wagging our tails in anticipation of this year’s 29th Annual Furry Scurry on May 7th! Organized by the Denver Dumb Friends League, this annual walk around Wash Park raises money to benefit the placement of homeless pets, vaccine clinics, and Humane Education programs. Participate as an individual or as part of a pack, (ok, a “team”), become a sponsor, or just donate! And if you’re feeling left out as a cat, horse, or ferret-person, you can walk from afar and still benefit the shelter that has helped all of our animal friends since 1910.
Look for the YellowDog team along with *the* Yellow Dog, Lucy, at this year’s event!
YellowDog’s PawPrint on this event: It’s not hard to imagine why we love the Dumb Friends League. Not only are we lucky to call them a client, but this will also be our second (and definitely not the last) year participating as Team YellowDog at the Furry Scurry.

CTA C-Level @ Mile High
May 19
The Colorado Technology Association (CTA) has had its finger on the pulse of emerging technology since 1994, helping Colorado’s ever-growing crop of leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs find success and progress in the tech field. This year’s C-Level @ Mile High event celebrates over 50 top tech executives, dubbed as “C-Level Celebrities”, for an entertaining night of networking, sneak-peeks at new and developing projects, and an auction featuring exciting experience packages. Check out the event’s website to see last year’s attendees, get registered, and prepare to rub some elbows with those “C-Level Celebrities”!
YellowDog’s PawPrint on this event: We’ve been working with CTA through at least six previous versions of the iPhone– creating custom signage and materials for their events, as well as their business cards, letterhead, and a variety of other projects. We hope to continue our relationship until the robots are advanced enough to take over writing our blog posts! Wait a minute…

Lighthouse Writers Workshop LitFest
June 10 – 19
One of our favorite neighbors, Lighthouse Writers Workshop, is a non-profit that believes deeply in the importance of literature in culture. They offer support to adults and children alike in developing their artistic voices through workshops, summer camps, community outreach, and a variety of stimulating and inspiring events that are held both in-person and virtually. One such event is their 2022 LitFest, from June 10-19. World-class authors, instructors, and agents will gather to spread their literary wisdom. Just thinking about this event makes me feel like a better writer!
(Bonus: Don’t miss Lighthouse’s 25th Anniversary Soiree on June 16, 2022 at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science!)
YellowDog’s PawPrint on this event: Lighthouse is one of our newer neighbors here at York Street Yards and we’ve been helping them get settled with signage and vinyl decor for their front door. Look for our sponsorship and printing at LitFest as well.

Fringe Festival
June 23-26
Our team at YellowDog not only loves dogs, but we are also a wonderfully creative bunch with a range of talents and wild imaginations. That’s why we can hardly wait for the Denver Fringe Festival! With four days of performances throughout Five Points and the RiNo Arts District, their website says it best when it describes the festival as: “…unjuried, uncensored, unconventional. It’s unexpected, unparalleled and unlike anything you’ve experienced before. It’s diverse artistic voices in all forms of performing arts, and it’s accessible to everyone.” Say no more; we’re there!
YellowDog’s PawPrint on this event: Another event that we’re proud to sponsor. If you didn’t see the posters or programs that we printed for last year’s event, come ready to see our print work again this year.

Courage Classic
July 16 – 17
As our region’s only non-profit pediatric hospital, you can be sure that money raised during the Children’s Hospital Colorado’s annual Courage Classic bike race is going to a great cause. Get out your spandex and join an amazing group of cyclists on July 16th & 17th at Copper Mountain to ride your choice of routes, ranging from 10 to 80 miles of beautiful Colorado mountain views. Spandex not your thing? You can fundraise, sponsor, or volunteer in the comfort of your own sweatpants and still be involved in an event that has raised $53 million over 32 tours to provide lifesaving care for our children.
YellowDog’s PawPrint on this event: The Courage Classic is only one of many wonderful events that we’ve worked on with the Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation over many years. Anyone who has ridden the Courage Classic knows they meticulously plan their route signage placement. As the printer behind the signs, we see how much effort that takes!

Summer BrewFest
July 23
We’ve sent you on a wild ride of events so far this summer, so maybe it’s time for a cold one. Stop by Mile High Station on July 23rd to enjoy special releases, seasonal brews and more from both local and national breweries, with a side of delicious food truck cuisine and live music.
