Branding and logo design FAQ
What is YellowDog’s logo design process?
First, we’ll go over the branding worksheet together to get to know your brand. Then our designers will get to work, and we will share concepts based on your vision in about 10-15 business days. You’ll have time to then review the logos and make adjustments with two rounds of revisions. A revision can mean anything from “can the tagline be a different color on concept #2” all the way to “I don’t like any of these; I want something more modern.” After we’ve settled on a concept, we’ll provide you with a toolkit of different versions of the logo in different file formats. This way, you’ll have everything you need in order to start putting your logo on your website, social media, and print materials.
What is a branding worksheet?
The branding worksheet allows us to find out everything we need to know to create a logo that reflects your unique brand. A brand encapsulates everything that your audience associates with your business. This can range from the values your companies has to the appearance of your storefront and the tone you write with when addressing your audience. We’re also happy to meet with you and go over the questions live. The worksheet simply allows us to get to know you and your company so we can make a visual identity that fits.
What if I don’t like the logo you made?
We’ve set up our process so you have plenty of opportunities to explore different concepts and revise as needed.
Even our most basic logo package includes two unique design concepts and two rounds of revisions. With a little bit of communication, we’re sure we can figure out what works for you, what doesn’t, and what fits just right.
What do I need a logo for?
If you’ve got a business (or nonprofit, school, band, neighborhood dog walking crew, or organization of any kind), it needs a visual identity to complement it. Humans are incredibly visual animals. A striking logo serves as a first step in establishing a relationship between your business and your audience, building awareness and loyalty from the jump. From a practical point of view, you’ll need a logo for marketing materials, swag, and web design.
