Printed envelopes FAQ
What sizes of envelopes do you offer?
We offer a wide variety of standard envelope sizes, including #10 business envelopes (4.125″ x 9.5″), A7 envelopes (5.25″ x 7.25″) for invitations, 9″ x 12″ catalog envelopes, and many others. Can you print on both sides of the envelope?
We can print on the front and back flap of most envelopes. Full-bleed printing (where ink extends to the edge of the envelope) is available on the front side only.
What paper stocks and finishes do you offer for envelopes?
We stock envelopes in white and natural white in a variety of standard sizes. We also carry options with security tint interiors (for privacy) and peel & seal closures (for easy sealing without licking or moistening).
If you’re looking for a specialty stock—like colored paper, vellum, kraft, or textured envelopes—you’re welcome to supply the envelopes, and we’ll print on them. We require at least a 10% overage on any customer-supplied stock, and we’ll need to run a test print first to make sure it works with our equipment.
Can you print variable data, like recipient names and addresses?
Absolutely! We offer variable data printing so you can personalize each envelope with the recipient’s name and address—perfect for invitations, direct mail campaigns, or customer outreach.
Do you offer custom envelope sizes or flap styles?
We do not offer envelope converting, which is the process of printing and then folding and gluing flat sheets into envelopes. Instead, we print directly onto pre-manufactured envelopes in standard sizes. We stock square flap and pointed flap options, which cover most use cases for business and event mailings.
