On-brand Company Holiday Card Designs to Admire

We’ve picked nine top company holiday cards to inspire your 2021 campaign

With over 15 years in the print business, we’ve seen our share of company holiday cards pass through our printers. We’ve seen everything from super-tacky to eye-catching and tasteful. Some clients use YellowDog for the printing of their own designs, and some clients have trusted our graphic design team to create on-brand holiday cards that convey a heartfelt message in unique ways.

To inspire companies who are envisioning this year’s holiday card, we’ve put together a lineup of some of our favorites from over the past several years. If you’d like us to do the heavy lifting on the graphic design side, get in touch! We’ll leave the tackiness to the holiday sweaters and make sure your brand’s cards are 100% on point.

engineering company holiday card

MDP Engineering Group

It’s a tradition! We’ve worked with this Denver engineering firm each year to design and print a custom holiday card. The twist? We look for ways to subtly incorporate the logo into a festive design. For 2020, if you look closely, you’ll see that the red birdhouse is made from the logo. We love the use of our Iridesse metallic ink to add some extra shine to this card.

Iron Woman Construction

Has your business gone 100% digital? Don’t see the need for a paper holiday card every year? We hear you. In 2019, we worked with Iron Woman Construction to create a digital graphic design for their holiday greeting. Then, over the past two years, we’ve upgraded to a video animation for Iron Woman to share digitally with their customers and community.

swallow hill music holiday card

Swallow Hill Music

Like all the touchpoints for the Swallow Hill brand, this holiday card embraces simplicity. We added a jaunty Santa hat to the logo — a perfect color match to their iconic perched swallow. Also, note the facemask detail on the bird to connote the year 2020.  A slightly dressed-up logo is a great way to combat tackiness and keep a holiday design clean and simple (as long as it’s dressed in a hat and not a holiday sweater!).

fanum holiday card

Fanum

As a founder’s club and workspace that caters to serial entrepreneurs, Fanum’s members include some big personalities. The brand’s holiday cards take on a big personality of their own with bold, witty designs and flashy finishing.
The 2020 Dumpster Fire card illustrated perfectly what we were all thinking. We printed it in full color on 100# uncoated cardstock, then folded it with a custom message and printed signatures inside.
The 2019 Unicorn card was printed with raised (and possibly magical) metallic foil on an 18pt card with soft-touch coating. The card had a custom message to the community’s dreamers and doers, complete with printed signatures on the back.

officescapes holiday card

OfficeScapes

Beyond supplying office furniture, OfficeScapes designs exceptional workspaces to help businesses envision the best of what an office can be. True to their design-forwardness, the OfficeScape holiday cards are a sight to behold. They incorporate their office chair logo into beautiful snowflake patterns printed on lux paper with chic square dimensions. A few samples:
Black on Black – Black foil stamped onto black cardstock for a subtle, black-on-black look. Duplexed with white 100# cardstock for double-thickness.
Copper on Copper – Copper foil stamped onto Copper metallic cardstock and white 100# cardstock, duplexed for double-thickness.
Gold on Gold – Gold foil stamped onto Gold Leaf metallic cardstock and white 100# cardstock, duplexed for double-thickness. Matching Gold Leaf metallic envelopes with custom printed logo & return address.
Silver on Navy – Silver metallic ink printed onto a navy blue, linen-textured cardstock, duplexed with a white 100# cover stock for double-thickness.

Compass

As a brokerage and real estate firm, Compass understands the importance of a timely and distinct touchpoint for its clientele. They opted for this chic and understated white-on-black snowglobe graphic, with imagery of a home as a perfect nod to the residential real estate industry. Winter vibes are strong and tasteful on this square-dimensioned card. Well done, Compass.

first descents holiday card

First Descents

What’s more heartwarming than a hand-drawn illustration? Not one thing. This adorable “snow rafting” sketch captures so much — the nonprofit’s logo, its fun-loving ethos, and its mission to bring life-changing outdoor adventures to young adults facing medical crises. The snowman and dog add bonus cheer to this lovely illustration.
The card was printed in full color onto 100# uncoated cardstock, folded with a heartfelt message inside. Great work, First Descents.

freedom service dogs holiday card

Freedom Service Dogs

Yes, we may have a strong bias toward cute yellow lab puppies here. But even so, this holiday card by Freedom Service Dogs ticks all the boxes. This local nonprofit trains service dogs who aid people with disabilities. Their handwritten touches and customized message on the inside really spark a connection with their audience of donors and beneficiaries.
The card is printed in full color and full cuteness onto 100# uncoated cardstock, folded with a custom message printed inside. Super-pawsitive, Freedom Service Dogs.

tremont holiday card

Tremont Realty Group

Tremont’s holiday cards are on-trend with a square dimension, contemporary snowflake pattern, and subtle yet brilliant gold pine trees (done with metallic specialty inks on our Iridesse printer!). The logo is incorporated to achieve branding without feeling too commercial. It’s a tasteful touchpoint for this realty group focused on residential property management.
