Donate 3+ pairs of socks, receive FREE holiday gift tags!

Each year we deepen our impact on the local community by lending our time and resources to a worthwhile cause. In fact, we’ve made a tradition of hosting twice-yearly donation drives to benefit local nonprofits. So far we’ve collected nonperishable food items, hygiene items, winter coats, and even pet food and supplies to support nonprofits who can connect these goods with recipients.

This December we’re partnering with the Action Center, Colorado Village Collaborative, and Colorado Coalition for the Homeless to collect new and gently used socks for donation. According to them, socks are one of the most important and requested items during the winter season, so we’re calling on our community to help keep them stocked with socks all season long.

As a thank you, we’re gifting free holiday gift tags to each person who donates 3 or more pairs of socks. Donated socks can be dropped off at our studio from December 1-31 during business hours (9am-5pm).

New or used socks?

Either type of sock will be accepted by one of these three organizations, but new socks are always preferred. Their reason? New socks will last longer, an important factor for those experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. Consider this: if you had little to no space for wardrobe storage, wouldn’t you want something that would stand the test of time? For this reason, please do not donate socks with rips, tears, holes, or stains; however, gently used socks are acceptable.

Donate 3+ pairs of socks, receive FREE holiday gift tags!

This season we decided to create our very own holiday gift tags to make gifting extra special. Simply sign, peel, and stick and you’re on your way to an adorably addressed gift. We’re giving away free holiday gift tags to anyone who drops off three or more pairs of new or gently used socks at our studio by the end of December. Let the giving and receiving commence!

Get to know these outstanding organizations:

About The Action Center

The Action Center is a local 501-c non-profit that provides an immediate and compassionate response to those in our community experiencing hardship.  They do this by offering resources such as groceries, clothing, and hygiene items, rent and utility assistance, and connections to resources that can help stabilize the lives of those in need.

About The Colorado Village Collaborative

The Colorado Village Collaborative (CVC) helps bridge the gap between the streets and stable housing by creating and operating transformational housing communities in partnership with people experiencing homelessness. CVC creates radical solutions to homelessness: housing that centers on human dignity and design solutions that are affordable, sustainable, and community oriented. CVC is (literally) near and dear to us at YellowDog, as its Denver Health Safe Outdoor Space tent village is a neighbor in our warehouse complex.

About The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless

The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for families, children, and individuals who are experiencing or at-risk of homelessness throughout Colorado. CCH advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of those it serves.

Thanks for helping us support these organizations — and especially those who they help daily who can always benefit from any extra resources.
