A Staffing Agency’s Long-standing Brand Gets an Upgrade and a Promotion

Colorado Network Staffing (CNS) is a Denver-based strategic staffing provider connecting local companies and government agencies with exceptional talent. Conceived twenty-five years ago in a time when employers still relied on the classifieds section of the newspaper to advertise their job openings, CNS’s brand image was caught between two wholly different eras. They came to YellowDog seeking a marketing and branding studio that could evolve their established yet outdated brand image. Of course, we were more than happy to help them reboot their look.
To bring their branding up to speed, CNS wanted to adapt their current logo and reimagine it for today’s job market. They also desired a revamped website, with a suite of tailored, educational content that would provide value to their site users, and keep them coming back for more. As we updated their site’s look and structure with new features and content, we began to slowly but surely nail down the feel of the more modern, 21st-century staffing agency that CNS embodies.
Our Process

Web Design and Development: CNS desired a contemporary, user-friendly website that would position them as a leader in the staffing industry rather than a laggard.
Through a detailed audit, YellowDog’s web team identified issues in CNS’s existing site structure that were causing the site to rank poorly. To address this issue, our web team reduced the number of landing pages and focused on adding more effective keywords to boost SEO. The revamped website would marry the new and improved content strategy with the functionality a staffing website needed.
Marketing – Web Content, SEO, and Analytics: Our marketing team leveraged CNS’s newly designed website and began developing a plan to increase site traffic, increase visibility, and build brand trust. A plan was put into action: increase the number of qualified leads to the website through additional strategic content that would engage their audience. Since CNS has been engaging with its audience through content marketing for the past three years, we dove deep and evaluated existing web traffic analytics that clued us into what was working and what wasn’t.
With this knowledge in hand, we got to work, writing long-form content for CNS’s website on topics using specific keywords most relevant to their user base. We also developed a content calendar targeting two search opportunities per month, aligning the plan with CNS’s brand and business goals.
Outcomes

Our work for CNS has resulted in a new website that not only visually represents the brand’s durability but also integrates its staffing expertise and recruiting efforts. The site is filled with rich, educational content geared towards their specific target markets of job seekers and employers, and guides visitors through the website funnel.
Through long-form articles on CNS’s revamped blog, we have helped CNS rank higher for certain niches, such as accounting job placement. By utilizing sponsored content in local business publications, we have also increased their brand awareness.
