Periods aren’t optional. Access to supplies shouldn’t be either. That’s why we’re bringing back our annual Period Positive Supply Drive for the third year running. Donate to join us in the fight against period poverty!

Period poverty is real—and it leads to stress, missed work and school, and unnecessary hardship.

  • Two thirds of menstruators in the United States cannot afford period products, often missing school and work due to lack of supplies.
  • Period products are not covered by basic welfare programs.
  • As of May 2025, eighteen states tax menstrual products as luxury items. (Colorado is not one of them, however some cities in Colorado still do!)

We think our community deserves better. Because no one should have to choose between buying groceries and menstrual supplies.

Every period drive donation helps to offset this burden, supporting our neighbors in living their fullest lives. This isn’t charity — it’s dignity, confidence, health and equity. When our community is supported, it thrives. Simple as that.

So let’s do what YellowDog does best:

  • Show up.
  • Care loudly.
  • Wag our tails while we make things better.

Our paw print

We’ve collected more than 8,500 pads and tampons over the last two years. Thanks to our generous community’s support, we provided 286 people a one month supply of menstrual hygiene products!

Let’s outdo ourselves in 2026. Donate to our period drive and help us collect supplies to support EVEN MORE Denverites with dignity and equity.

Period positive paw-tners

All donations go straight to supporting Denverites.

The Gathering Place is a low-barrier service hub providing trauma-informed care to women, gender-diverse people and their children experiencing homelessness or instability. Our drive helps stock TGP restrooms, making these essentials available to everyone who comes through.

Clayton Cares Market provides children and families in need with a no-cost shopping experience and the simple dignity of choosing the high-quality groceries and goods (like donated period products) that best fit their individual needs and cultural preferences.

Let’s fix this, period.
