Spread the love of reading this September! We’re accepting book donations for our fourth annual Dog-Eared Pages Book Drive benefitting BookGive from September 1 – 30, 2026.
All donations will help BookGive fulfill book requests from nonprofits, schools and individuals in Denver and beyond. This donation drive will also help stock their Free Book Room. That’s right, an adorable indie shop full of books anyone can have for free. Your donation helps BookGive in their mission to increase book access for all.
Newish and gently loved books only, please. Sure, a dog-eared page here and there is no big deal, but please don’t take our cutesy event title too literally. Follow BookGive’s guidelines and bring in books that can really be enjoyed.
Requested books:
- Newer fiction
- Current nonfiction
- Cookbooks
- Children’s books
- Spanish-language books
Please do NOT donate any of the following:
- Nonfiction books published before 2011
- Textbooks, comic books, encyclopedias or technical guides
- Bibles, manuals, encyclopedias or magazines
- Tattered, torn or otherwise damaged books
We’ve collected 1,829 books over the last three years. Let’s keep building on that legacy and get books in the hands of even more readers in 2026! Because your books deserve better than collecting dust on crowded shelves (and because literacy is for everyone).

You can drop items off at YellowDog during regular business hours (9 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday). Find us in the York Street Yards warehouse complex at 3881 N. Steele St., Ste. 1242, Denver, CO 80205.
